As we live among the natives, we love to serve the mothers and children. Unfortunately, in the village there seem to be a lot of single mothers and widows who care for their family without the support of a husband or breadwinner. The single mothers work in the farm, keep the house, pay for food and kids’ school uniforms; they carry the weight of life. Although these burdens can be overwhelming, they continue to press forward. It is inspiring.
Every Christmas we create a project to empower the widows and single mothers to care for their families. Video.
We help resource hospital visits, medical check ups, and emergencies.
We are working on setting up a basic medical clinic for children and families.
Rugby is the national passion and passage of manhood on the islands. The men start playing at a young age, and every village takes pride in supporting their rugby team. We believe that sponsoring and empowering team sports can foster character development and values that will help form effective community leaders and parents.
Adidas has sponsored us with Rugby shoes to serve the team.
We teach life-skills and character through coaching and mentoring.
We try to help the village find sponsors for team uniforms and transportation to games.
Fiji is a developing nation and in a time of change. With the establishment of required school uniforms, the bus system, and more reliance on imported goods, the villagers need to find ways to generate an income. We want to help the locals tap into their own resources and talents to create local small businesses, rather than relying on hand-outs or being taken advantage of by foreign business owners who undercut fair labor.
We created a village store that is now completely sustained and run by local natives. Video
We help generate pig and cow farming.
As we grow and raise more resources, we hope to help locals start fishing and farming businesses.
