Our Story

“In 2013 I moved into a Fijian village and was immersed in their way of life. I learned their stories and songs. I slept on the floor. I trained myself to spearfish and began to discover the beauty of a simple life connected to nature and community.

I began to feel a profound connection to the village. They became my family. I felt their joy and empathized with their pain. Then when I shared some of their stories and heartache with my friends from America, we rallied together with a vision to make a difference. Mission Fiji was born.”

Mission Fiji is a grass roots 501 (c)(3) non profit, committed to help create thriving Native Fijian communities, by empowering village leaders and serving families.

“Seth Are You Still Alive??”

“My friends forgive me! During these last few months I fell into a social media black hole. I didn’t post anything or send any emails. Mostly because I have been organizing things in the states and lacked the discipline/inspiration to post about them. I don’t post much personal social media either so some people thought I had simply disappeared. I’m so sorry about that.. but I’m getting back on the horse! It should be easier now though because I’m back in the South Pacific with my village!

Current Project

We are building our main classroom/dorm bure hut…

Currently we’re putting up the wall and flooring, then on to fixing up the inside so it’s fit to hold classes and house guests. It will take around $5,000 US to finish.

We can’t even begin to explain what a big step this is for Mission Fiji! Thank you for all of your support!
