“In 2013 I moved into a Fijian village and was immersed in their way of life. I learned their stories and songs. I slept on the floor. I spearfished with the guys and began to discover the fulfilment of a simple life immersed in nature and community. A profound connection formed in my heart for the village. They became my family and I learned so much as I shared their joy and experienced their pain.
I wanted to help repair damaged homes and help cure the infections and sickness. If I could only access my simple medicine cabinet in America it would make such a difference.
When I shared some stories with my friends from America, we rallied together with a vision to serve the people, as well as open up this experience for others. Mission Fiji was born.”
